- EFS presented a paper about Social Responsibility and Ecotourism in Bali, in 2018.
- In 2018, EFS cooperated with some ISO26000 experts (from NGO and other stakeholders) to establish an international network for Social responsibility, ISO 26000 Global Stakeholders Network.
- EFS President, Dr. Khawla Al Muhannadi worked as an international expert representing NGO Stakeholder Group in developing the ISO26000 standard for Social Responsibility (2007-2010).

- Then she was elected as one of two NGO representatives in the Post publication Organization (PPO) after the standard was published with the mandate to monitor the implementation of the standard globally (from 2010 till 2018).
- EFS President’s co-authored a book about Social Responsibility: “Understanding ISO 26000. A Practical Approach to Social Responsibility”
- In 2008, EFS supported by Bahrain’s government hosted the meetings of the higher committees of ISO26000 working team, the CAG and the IDTF. A public workshop was organized by EFS, and attended by different stakeholders in Bahrain, including government, academia and research centers, consumers, labor, and NGOs. Panelists and participants were from five continents.
- EFS President appointed as NGOs Ambassador for the ISO 26000 Global Stakeholders Network. in 2018.
- EFS organized a virtual global NGO dialogue in 2020 about Social responsibility with 110 participants from five continents and 35 countries, on behalf of the NGO stakeholder Group in ISO26000 GSN (12/12/2020)
